Answers to Quiz which raised £160 for Water Aid

Soroptimist clubs were challenged by the Federation President to raise £75 for the charity Water Aid, to celebrate the 75thAnniversary of Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland. If every individual were to have access to clean water many of the worlds diseases and illnesses would be eradicated. Soroptimist International of Barry and District decided to compile a quiz with fifty questions, all based on water, and an entry fee of £1 was agreed.  The quiz proved popular but difficult. Only three correct entries were received. The three were put into sealed envelopes and the winning one was drawn by President Judith Lewis at a recent Club meeting. The winner was Beth Jones of Whitchurch Cardiff who received a cheque for £50. Members were grateful to everyone who participated and delighted to have raised £160 for Water Aid, such a worthwhile charity.
