Fund Raising at Dyfryn Gardens

On a recent summer’s evening, a Marquee in Dyffryn Gardens, near Barry, was the venue for an extremely successful fundraising event organised by Club members.  During an evening of music and song, guests were entertained by Harpist, Sue Banks and a programme of popular songs and operatic arias performed by “Diva Delight”, an extremely talented trio of young opera singers.  £2,000 was raised and £1,500 was given to ValePlus, an organisation that provides educational, social and vocational opportunities for people with learning and related difficulties and £500 to the Dyffryn Restoration Fund.

We were delighted Federation President Carwen Wynne Howells, together with Regional President Hilary Allman were able to join us on this occasion and the first photo shows “All The Presidents’ Women”. Federation President Carwen, Club President Iris, Regional President Hilary and Barry & District President Elect, Judith Lewis.
