Programme Action

We have a number of interesting projects directed towards Soroptimist goals in the community and internationally and which harness the talents and interests of our members.

Link with a local girl’s school

We make a Citizenship Award each year to a girl at a nearby school who has made an exceptional contribution within the community.  Members also give help with reading and give pupils practice and coaching in interview skills.

Hedgerow Survey

An audit of local hedgerows and wildlife as a contribution to the Bromley bio-diversity programme.

Mufindi Project

Funding for a water supply for orphan houses and a hospital in a remote village in Tanzania, to be completed to celebrate our club’s anniversary in 2012.

Craft Projects

Sewing blankets for needy children worldwide, making craft items for sales fairs and leading a sewing project with local children
