Our Projects
International project – Project SIerra
Project SIerra is a four year partnership between Soroptimist International and Hope and Homes for Children which aims to raise over £1 million to transform the lives of some of the most deprived women and children in Sierra Leone.
The Cambridge Club pledged to raise £1,000 over the four years, 2008-2011, buying cake at meetings, holding coffee mornings and other events to raise this sum.
Regional project
Malawi - This project which runs from 2005-2011 is a regional project to support children in Lisaki and Gada. The Cambridge Club has raised funds to support this including being asked to “multiply £20″ and raising over £100.
Club projects
The Club Programme action always includes a focus identified by the Club President. This is currently The Medaille Trust which is a charity founded to help women, young men and children who have been freed from human-trafficking.
