This is not Aaron’s first Soroptimist Conference – in 2009 as a 9-year old, he accompanied his grandma, a member of SI Haverfordwest, to hear Chris Moon.

Bristol Military Wives Choir

Military Wives Choirs provide a head-start for women in the military community to make new friends, connect with local communities and learn new skills in a fun and supportive environment. Families of service personnel move around frequently and it can be tough to put down roots, make new friends and get to know people. Add to that the stresses and strains of loved ones being deployed away from home often for long periods, and life can have its challenges. By coming together to sing, each choir creates a valuable support network for women in the military community. Choir members can help one another through the tough times, celebrate the good times and sing through it all together!

Bristol Military Wives Choir started in December 2012 and has grown from 12 ladies on the first night to a membership of 45 and growing. Most ladies are posted here for 2 years but we do have several veterans’ wives or non-mobile spouses. We are a tri-service choir with ladies attached to the Navy, Army and Air Force and also some overseas families and MOD support staff are represented.
