President Carwen Earles
Carwen is a nurse who has worked in Nurse Education, from which she recently resigned. She now works part time as a practice nurse.
Immediate Past Presidents Phyllis Thomas and Sue John
Dr Phyllis Thomas has been both a nurse and a doctor and is a well respected member of SI Carmarthen. Sue John is a florist and owns a shop in St Clears. She is also the house manager of Greenhill.
Secretary and President Elect Sheila Holmes
Sheila Holmes is a Consultant Chartered Landscape Architect, previously working for Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council as Principal Project Officer for 10 years. She is a new member of the Soroptimists Carmarthen and is keen to get involved in the clubs good work.
Happily married with two horses and two jack russells , her spare time is taken up with reading, art, caving, learning golf and horse riding .
Treasurer Anne Jones
Anne ran her own Accountants practice for 30 years before retiring 12 years ago. Prior to that she worked in Bernuda for 4 years and before that London for 7 years. She has always enjoyed sports, including hockey, netball and now of course …GOLF!!! She is an avid traveller and loves music, singing and is currently learning to play the piano. She has been involved with numerous charitable/youth organisations over the years and is also a retired JP. Anne was the Founder President of Lampeter SI Club and has been Past Regional Treasuer and Past Regional President before being ‘invited’ to join Carmarthen Club 5 years ago.
Programme Action Chair Hilary Allman
Hilary has been a member of SI Carmarthen since 1996. She has held the position of Club President twice, and was Regional President of Wales South in 2008/09. Hilary worked as Director of Primary Care and Partnership in Neath Port Talbot Local Health Board and retired in 2010. She is also a magistrate.
Membership Chair & Friendship Link Co-ordinator Gordina Appleton
Gordina is passionate about Soroptimist International and the programme action work carried out to help women and girls reach their potential.
She has been a member of SI Carmarthen for 16 years and club president on two occasions, the second with daughter Fiona. Gordina has held office as Regional Representative, Regional Proxy, Programme Action Officer, and Secretary. She currently co-ordinate the Teas for the Elderly Project and our afternoon SI group. At a Regional level she held the office of Regional President 2003-04 and followed this by Regional Secretary until November 2010 (a period of 6 years). She is now the Federation Councillor.
Married with three grown up children and 7 grandchildren who are a delight, she enjoys gardening, knitting, reading and puzzles of all kinds.

Regional representatives
Susan Jones and Sheila Holmes (see above) are the Regional Representatives. Susan has been a member of SI Carmarthen since early 2012. She has recently moved to Wales from Scotland, where she was the Senior Lecturer in Midwifery in Aberdeen for several years.
