Soroptimist International of Chelmsford is part of a worldwide organisation of women, which is linked to the United Nations.

Welcome to Soroptimist International Chelmsford & District Club

Soroptimist International is the world’s largest women’s service organisation with Consultative Status at the United Nations.  A group of like-minded women, we are united by our passion for improving the lives of women and children locally, nationally and internationally. The Chelmsford club was founded in 1951 and has given years of service to our community.  Use the side navigation to find out more about your local club. OUR CLUB

We are a very friendly group of women who meet on the third Thursday of the month  at 7.30pm (usually) in the Church Hall, St Mary and St Leonard Church, Chelmsford CM1 7BD; please contact us for more details.

If you would like to learn more about our organisation, come along; you would be assured of a very warm welcome.

WHAT THE CHELMSFORD AND DISTRICT CLUB DOES

We are involved:

Locally – we lobby and undertake projects that benefit women and girls with organisations such as Chelmsford Women’s Aid (Safer Places).

Regionally – with nine other clubs in the London Anglia Region.

Nationally and Internationally fundraising and campaigning.
