Opening Ceremony
The Dome Theatre proved to be a superb venue for the flags from all the Countries of the Federation to be carried in by the Girl Guides of Brighton West Division. Pictured here is the Soroptimist International flag was carried by President Liz Morgan-Lewis.

Then followed the Roll Call of Countries, Regions and National Associations – with everyone clearly delighted to be together. After the roll call Liz welcomed everyone to conference and then invited International President Alice Wells to the podium.

International President Alice Wells was able to present Soroptimist International Weston Super Mare won the Soroptimist International (SI) best practice award for “Ensuring Equal Access to Education and Training for Women and Girls Throughout their Lifespan” PLUS the overall winner for Best Practice 2011! The finale was an inspirational modern dance for the conference theme “Inspiring Action, Transforming Lives” performed by dancers from the University of Winchester.
