A very successful Soroptimist Quiz Night was held at the Forth Bar in Broughty Ferry on March 4th.
A total of £1092 was raised for charities supported by SI Dundee. On this occasion it was agreed the sum would be equally split between Age Concern (Dundee) and President Sheila’s charity, Limbine Primary School Meru, Kenya.
The Limbine monies will be used to build badly needed pit and concrete slab toilets for pupils at the school. The Age Concern money may be used for publicity: raising awareness of loneliness which remains a big health risk factor in the elderly.
