President’s Message – Diane Priday

The charity I have chosen for my year is Mary’s Meals.

Mary’s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding projects in some of the world’s poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education. Mary’s Meals began by feeding 200 children in Malawi in 2002, today they feed over 600,000 every day in 16 countries around the world.

I have been a Soroptimist for a very short time, just 5 years and during that time I have been an active member of the club. I have been involved in Programme Action from the start of my membership and passionately believe that programme action is at the heart of what we do.

Easter Ross Soroptimists is a small club with around 20 members and many more who support our events. Our ages range from 40 to 86 and with different nationalities and religions; we all have tremendous fun and enjoy our meetings and the friendships that we make. Why not come and see what we do? What have you got to lose?
