Club welcome page

Welcome to the Soroptimist club of Gosport, Fareham and District, covering the Meon Valley and A3 corridor out to our neighbours in Southampton, Winchester, Chichester and Waverley at Farnham. We are an active club, with 26 members from a variety of professional backgrounds, doing a range of activities in a balanced programme to mix the fun and serious aspects of being a Soroptimist. We hold social events and trips, sometimes abroad to visit our Friendship Link clubs in Esbjerg, Denmark, Royan in France or Uppsala, Sweden.

We have a business meeting once a month (usually the first Thursday) held at Lysses House Hotel. We hold a monthly speaker meeting with supper at Cams Hall Golf Club (usually third Thursday).

We have ongoing work for Programme Action, such as producing bookmarks for local schools designed to combat violence against women and supporting the local women’s refuges and holding a tea party for the local groups of Contact the Elderly.  There’s more information about the range of projects we support on the Projects page.
