Mr Daniel Woods of Parliament Outreach came to our meeting in October and gave a very interesting presentation on the mechanisms of Parliament and how we, the public, can make ourselves heard when we have an important issue to raise.
The event was attended by Club members and guests and we were pleased to welcome members of our sister branch in Beverley.
Daniel took us through the processes of campaigning through the House of Commons and the House of Lords. We all came away with an improved awareness of the work, processes and relevance of the institution of Parliament.
