Paul Snell was our speaker for the July meeting and gave a very interesting and humorous talk about a journey he took with his fellow companions conquering Kilimanjaro in 1957.
With original photographs and hand drawings, Paul described his adventure through jungle and up the highest mountain in Africa.
The team endured extremes of temperatures and basic conditions, without specialist equipment or projective clothing to achieve the ascent to over 19 thousand feet above sea level.
