Life Education Centres for Lancashire (LEC) was established in 1996, following a public meeting to which Soroptimist Clubs were invited. LEC provide health education programmes for pupils in primary schools throughout Lancashire.
Since 1996, members of SI Lancaster have been represented on the Management Board and the North Lancashire Support Group.
Life Education is a charity and does not receive any government funding. For many years, members of SI Lancaster have supported fund-raising events for LEC, including bag packing, can shakes, charity concerts, dinner dances, quiz nights, treasure hunts, fashion shows, canapé evenings and many more.
