Friendship Links

Friendship is the enduring spirit of Soroptimism and the bond that enables us to get things done. That is why our friendship links with other clubs worldwide are so important. They enable us to raise our awareness of issues and projects in other countries and be advocates in their cause; we can also take action through partnership projects, which can do so much to improve the lives of women and girls less fortunate than ourselves.

 We currently have friendship links with five clubs:

SI Calcutta-East – India

Recently we have undertaken a joint education project with SI Calcutta East, to provide books and  teach young girls to read or improve their skills, and look forward to welcoming members from SI Skjern-Tarn in Denmark and SI Kenilworth to our 75^th Charter Anniversary weekend.

Each Link receives a copy of our club newsletter, a Christmas card and regular email ‘chats’ with our Link Co-ordinator throughout the year.
