Today I had the opportunity to revisit the Youth Offending Team to talk about Keyring Services. I met with Mark Jones who manages the ‘Trent’ sector that includes Lichfield. He showed interest and enthusiasm and can see the project being very supportive to a number of young people and their families. The Youth Offending Service has a commitment to the ‘Prevent and Deter’ agenda so that they work with ALL young people to encourage and applaud them when they make positive choices. We all know the risk factors of growing up in our city – so often, young people need additional protective factors in their lives and the keyring can be one of them.
