Welcome to our Club

Welcome to our club which comprises members from many different walks of life. We aim to enjoy ourselves whilst improving the lot of women, girls and families locally, nationally and internationally.

We meet once a month, usually the second Tuesday,  at 7.30 p.m.at John Storer House Community Centre. Meetings vary between business and speakers on a wide variety of subjects.

A variety of fundraising and social events are organise.  These include, amongst others, Craft Fairs, Fashion shows, Theatre trips, Visits to places of  interest. TalkingNews (an audio broadcast of the Echo) and carers’ tea parties are among some of the projects we support in the community.

SI Loughborough is part of a global network of more than 3000 Soroptimist Clubs worldwide. Members are active locally through service and fund-raising projects, and nationally and internationally in partnership with other Soroptimist clubs and organisations, to improve the lives of women and girls. Members give their time and skills to help others and get great satisfaction, and a lot of fun, working on practical projects in the local community as well as raising funds for good causes.
