 John O’Groats to Lands End for Project SIerra

Chris and Pete completed a 911 mile cycle ride in 7 days

The event, averaging 128 miles a day, worked as fundraiser for Project SIerra

St Mary’s Rape Crisis Centre
We have also been supporting this initiative for many years by collecting soaps and shampoos to give out to victims who are brought into the Centre.

St. Mary’s Children’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre
This was our 80^th Anniversary project in 2006/7.  We raised money to equip rooms and purchase vital equipment for the children.
We did this with various events

- a garden party
- a fashion show
- an Old English Night
- a balloon event
- a craft fair
- a flower-arranging event

The Cornerstones Centre
We have recently become involved in trying to help to this organization, which is situated on Denmark Road, Manchester.

Each day they cater for up to 200 lunches for the homeless and they supply hot drinks free all day to those who are most needy. Earlier this year we helped them financially in a small way and now we hope to collect tea, coffee, sugar and tins of meat on a regular basis from our members and from collecting outside supermarkets. We also hope to hold an event to help with the cost of new cupboards in the serving area.
