Cornerstone Centre
This is a drop-in centre for the homeless in south Manchester. We have raised money to refurbish their serving area and buy a professional standard deep fat fryer, and we regularly donate foodstuffs and clothing.
Pankhurst Centre
This is both a drop-in centre for women for which we have previously raised funds, made gowns for their choir and members have volunteered, and the HQ of Manchester Women’s Aid through whom we donate items to their women’s refuges.
St Ann’s Hospice
Historically, club members organised a cake stall at their annual garden party. Latterly, proceeds from our strawberry tea have been donated.
St Mary’s SARC
We have supported St Mary’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre from the outset by donating toiletries for the use of clients. Money raised to celebrate the club’s 80th year purchased the Luna distraction equipment for the children’s examination room.
