SOCIAL AND HOSPITALITY
The purpose of the Social & Hospitality Committee, is to support the president and programme action fundraising plans. We have a friendly team to enable us to have fun, friendship and food.
It is a great privilege to be part of such a motivated and energetic group of women, who work to improve the lives of women and girls globally.
Every year, we have an annual summer event at a members’ home, where members, friends, family, partners and the public enjoy the fund raising event. Sadly, this year due to COVID, this event has been cancelled but will resume next year hopefully when we are safe to do so with Government guidelines.
Annually, we have a popular quiz night and our raffle is legendary which involves Food and Friendship. A summer outing is also part of our president’s calendar. The list of fund raising events we organised varies from year to year which includes Fashion Shows and Craft Fairs. Recently, we celebrated International Women’s day at a local Chinese Restaurant which was extremely successful and will be repeated in future years.
We are a very busy happy committee where each member is truly valued, providing a wealth of different life experiences, skills and opinions from different careers to help all presidents during their term of office. We derive great satisfaction in helping Women and Girls to achieve their aspirations by Empowerment, Enablement and Education.
