SI Barnstaple features in Home Office Publication

purple teardrop campaign logoThe December 2016 issue of SOC (Serious and Organised Crime) Local Partnerships Bulletin, published by the Home Office. The publication shares good practice across law enforcement and the public, private and voluntary sectors.

The Purple Teardrop Campaign is featured, specifically regarding the support Soroptimist International Barnstaple have given to this campaign, although the campaign itself was the brainchild of Soroptimist International Poole, and was started to tackle the human trafficking of women and children.

SI Barnstaple has been working tirelessly in the past five years to raise awareness to Human Trafficking, and through this have been included in forums run by the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. Their involvement was passed to a Home Office representative who lives in the South West, and two of the members met with her earlier this year, to let her know of our work in the area of Human Trafficking.

Congratulations to SI Barnstaple.  Read the full publication.
