President’s Message

Welcome to our Club! You may be unfamiliar with the work of the Soroptimists, but here in Nantwich & District we have been working on projects to transform the lives of women and children locally and worldwide for over 60 years and that work continues today.
My theme for the year as President is FUN, FRIENDSHIP & MAKING a DIFFERENCE
As a club we meet twice a month and these meetings include hosting speakers, club business, and working on a Programme of Action which tackles issues including education, the environment, health and domestic violence.

But it is certainly not all work and no play! We arrange social events which help raise funds for the charities we support and which enable us to enjoy each other’s company. Throughout the coming year we will be organising Trips to the theatre, Quiz Nights, A Murder Mystery, Christmas Party and finish the club year in March 2012 with an Olympic Ball.
This year the club will be raising funds to help local charities, The Women’s Refuge. The Child Contact Centre, and the Samaritans.
Soroptimist International is a worldwide organisation, and our club has Friendship links with clubs in America, Japan, Sri Lanka and Europe.
