Joyce Lewis – S I Newbury and District President
Welcome to our website. Having been nominated as a President, I will have the honour to represent Soroptimist International at several Civic events in the community, whilst leading our club in Newbury.
The President has the choice of the charity she would like to support, we also support many other local and national charities.
Our main annual fundraiser is the Pancake Races and Lunches event, held on Shrove Tuesday in Newbury Market Place and St. Nicolas Church hall. Teams, many in fancy dress battle for the Pancake Champion of the Year, the Best Dressed Team and Best Pancake Tosser of the Year! Following the races delicious Pancake Lunches are served in St Nicolas’ Church Hall.
We are a small and friendly club with quite a big age range and extend a warm welcome, to possible new members to our meetings, which are on the 1st Thursday of the month. Please click on “Contact Us” on the right of the screen.
