Sue Biggs, Federation Programme Director
Congratulation to Sue Biggs who is now Federation Programme Director. Sue has been a Soroptimist for 11 years, firstly as a member of SI Pendleside and latterly as a member of SI Burnley. For the last three years she chaired the UK Programme Action Committee and takes on the role of Federation Programme Director at an exciting time as we enter a new quadrennium with fresh Programme goals and objectives. The SI title ”Educate to Lead” with key words being the three Es -educate, empower, enable lends itself to so many possibilities for exciting programme work which can be linked closely with recruitment and retention of members.
Soroptimist Cover Girl Linda Beddows
Linda Beddows, SI The Fylde, received an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in June. Since then she has attracted more media attention, and is the Cover Girl on the August/September issue of Exploring Opportunities magazine Her cover story is on pages 4 and 5.

The citation reads:
‘Mrs Linda Beddows. For services to the community in Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire.’
Linda is currently the Regional Federation Councillor
