OUR PROGRAMME WORK

We call our voluntary work “Programme Action”. Programme Action is the reason for being a Soroptimist. Programme Action work is undertaken by each club and covers a huge range of projects from local community work, working with other organisations such as The Purple Teardrop Campaign,(anti slavery),  WAGGGS ( Girl Guides), Amnesty International, and many aspects of violence against women. This includes helping in women’s refuges, putting posters in public lavatories offering advice and information  about forced marriage and also female genital mutilation.  And much, much more…..
