It is a real privilege to be our group’s President for the coming year.

My theme for the year builds upon Liz Morgan –Lewis’s theme ‘Transforming lives – Inspiring action’ through trying to express how we can enact this admirable aim. It is:

Together we are Soroptimism and can transform lives and inspire action.

I have chosen as the President’s Charity to support Region and the Cameroon project with ’Village Aid’. We are starting with a small ‘raisin’ box and our first endeavour is to ask members to collect 5p’s in the box with the thought of ‘raisin’ hope, ‘raisin’ support for our Cameroon sisters.

We have many interesting and varied speakers planned for throughout the year, and I very much look forward to a good year with an abundance of friendship, fun and achievement of our Soroptimist ideals.
