Soroptimists across Southern England are supporting the Mamelodi Children’s Village in South Africa. Funds are much needed to help with the care and education of the children, orphaned because of hiv/aids.
Poole Soroptimist Mary was determined to give her support and organised a fund-raising coffee morning. Pictured here are Poole Soroptimists and friends enjoying coffee in the Dorset sunshine. The event, which also included table top sales and a raffle, raised £300.
Mary commented, ‘The Mamelodi project provides hope for children who have lost everything. They have a home, are cared for and go to school. There have been some great success stories there but funds are much needed for the good work to continue.’
