The Mayor and Mayoress of Poole and Leader of Poole Council gave Community Champion Blue Awards to the Purple Teardrop Campaign team in recognition of the work undertaken to raise awareness of human trafficking and fund-raise for trafficking victims.
The Mayor expressed his deep concern for the women and girls caught up in human trafficking and welcomed the Purple Teardrop Campaign’s initiatives. To the team’s delight, he signed the Campaign’s lobby to ban sex for sale advertising, which has now exceeded 1,000 signatures.
