SI Barnstaple’s Purple Teardrop Seminar on Human Trafficking held at the Civic Offices on Barnstaple on 22 March received excellent support from the community.
Speakers gave the global and national perspective and explained how human trafficking is handled by Devon and Cornwall Police.
Delegates learnt that human trafficking is occurring in suburban communities in the West Country and were encouraged to support anti trafficking measures.
Barnstaple Soroptimists are to be congratulated on their great success in raising their community’s awareness on human trafficking.
