Water Aid Partnership Project : Chinchvali Village, India

SI Port Talbot and our Friendship Link, SI North Bombay joined forces in raising funds to provide a well and latrines much needed in the village of Chinchvali, Panvel takula, Raigad District, Maharashtra. The village population is 521 and 276 are women.

SI Port Talbot raised funds for the two latrines needed – the village provided the land for construction and shramadas (labourers). The works were completed during May 2008.
