President Sue held a Christmas Party at her beautiful home on Tuesday 11th December. Most members attended and enjoyed excellent food, wine and a opportunity to chat. During the evening Sue presented flowers to Irene Brierley, a long standing member who reaches 90 years young in March next year. She goes on a world cruise in January and will be away on her birthday so we marked it early, whilst envying her holiday cruise. At a business meeting earlier in the year it was agreed that we would make Denise Baldwin an honorary member of the Club. Denise has been an outstanding long serving member – over 35 years, She has held most offices in the club at least once and the past year was an excellent and most successful South Lancashire Regional President. We thought this success should be marked in some way and decided that honorary membership of SI Ramsbottom was the most appropriate way to do this.

Sue presented Denise with flowers and a certificate. Denise was thrilled and thanked everyone for their help and support during her year of office.

This annual event is one of our main fund raising events and this year helped towards raising money for Bury and Rossendale hospices. We would like to thank the Soroptimist members, their families and friends for their support.
