Our Programme for the rest of this year

This year, our President’s Project is to raise funds for Southend Young Carers. Our Programme Action theme is Violence Against Women – STOP IT NOW! We believe prevention is as important as cure. We shall continue our work supporting the refuges and will also distribute the Loves Me Loves Me Not bookmarks whilst campaigning about all the issues relating to domestic violence.

President Cathy has invited a number of speakers to stimulate our discussion and we have already been given important information to keep members up-to-date with regional, national and international Soroptimist activities. The rest of the year looks like this:

February 2012

13th   Executive Meeting

20th   ☺Speakers from the local refuges – guests and prospective members are welcome

At this meeting there will be a collection for Life Straws for Water Aid

March 2012

12th   Executive Meeting
