City Station Carols Success – marking Human Rights Day

This year’s annual Soroptimist Christmas carol singing at St Albans City Station was a great success raising a massive £576.04 for the St Albans and Hertsmere Women’s Refuge  – this is the most we’ve every collected!

Recent funding cuts and increased demand mean that the Refuge needs additional funding now more than ever before.

Over supper Club Members made donations of £100, in lieu of sending one another Christmas cards, to the International President’s annual December 10th appeal  ‘Educate To Lead: Nepaladdressing the human rights issues that follow a disaster.

Soroptimist International St Albans and District wish all of their supporters and friends a Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful new year.
