SuStAinable St Albans Evening – FoodCycle and Spice Drops

The St Albans Soroptimist Club had an inspirational eSustainability Weekvening as part of SuStAinable St Albans 2016. Group Members plus many guests explored sustainability with informative talks from FoodCycle and Spice Drops – this event was part of Sustainable St Albans Week 19-26 Nov Ellie Jenkins from Sustainable St Albans said “I had a great time, everyone was very welcoming and I thought the quality of talks was fantastic-thank you so much for being involved in the week!”

Pamela Rochford (pictured here left with Libby Brown and Amanda Brown) conducted a survey of Members to understand our sustainability profile which she displayed at the meeting.
Members and guests were encouraged to bring along unwanted/broken jewellery, old and new foreign bank notes and coins, stamps, old or broken mobile phones, cameras and electrical gadgets – we are “recycling” in aid of the Soroptimist Diamond Education Grant.
