To tie in with the UN International Day of Literacy on 8th September 2009, several members put together a Story Sack of the popular children’s book “Shark in the Park”. This was donated to the local library and had its first outing with a group of enthusiastic shark hunters from Acorn Nursery in St Andrews. This will be used again with other nursery groups over the next year. The pictures show the children looking through their “telescopes” trying to find the Shark in the Park as the story is read to them. The second picture shows the various characters in the story which are found in the Story Sack.
