Brief History of the Club

The first meeting of the St. Andrews and District Club was held on the 12th October 1960, with the Charter Dinner taking place on the 11th March 1961.

The club is a daughter club of Soroptimist International of Dundee and one of the seven clubs of Scotland North Region.

Over the years, the club has supplied to the Region, 7 Presidents, as well as Honorary Secretaries and Honorary Treasurers, and 2 Executive members of Council.  Most recently, one club member has been the Federation Executive Councillor for Scotland, then for Scotland North Region only.
