To mark International Day of Peace (21st September 2011) club members took some tree branches and fixed them to the railings outside Holy Trinity Church in St. Andrews on Saturday morning, 24th September, and invited passers-by to write on a label, decorated with a dove, what Peace meant to them. Many people enthusiastically took part and soon the branches were covered with colourful labels, all with different and personal messages. After the event, club member Anne Morris collected all the labels (more than 50 of them) to assemble into a scrapbook to keep in the Club’s archive.
