Reports on Club Meetings

Club meeting 12th January 2012

Arrangements were discussed about the two fundraising events the Club were holding during February.   First, the quiz night in Scores Hotel on 9^th February and then the Pampered Chef Gourmet Evening on 29^th February. Members were encouraged to support both events through promotion and selling tickets. It was intimated that the St Andrews Preservation Trust is holding their quiz on 23^rd February which hopefully members would consider in terms of sending a team.

It was agreed that £40 would be donated to Homestart for their storybook work with families, to recognise World Book Day – Mags Kennedy to progress. In order to recognise International Women’s Day consideration is being given to work with Oxfam. Members are being encouraged to continue their pennies collections for World Water Day at the end of March.

Jean Frame, Programme Action Convenor, wished to increase the full club’s involvement with PA work and presented three projects for members. She asked that they chose one enter into some discussion with fellow members. Feedback would be at the next Club Meeting.
