How to become a member of SI Stafford

SI Stafford would welcome new members who share an interest in enhancing the status of women and girls, within our own community and the wider world.

Women have much to offer and we are looking for those of you who can bring your life and work skills to help in project work that reflects the ethos of Soroptimism which is:

To inspire action and create opportunities to transform the lives of women and girls through a global network of members and international organisations. Each member works ‘on the ground’ in her own club to accomplish local and global goals, many of them related to human rights.

Initially you will be invited, as our guest, to join us at any of our meetings. This will give you the opportunity to meet our members and to get a feel for how we function. There is no rush to make any decision about joining and becoming a full member; you will be given time and opportunity to get to know us better before making a commitment. SI Stafford has much to offer other than the serious nature of living up to our core values. The social life of the Club is vibrant and variable. We mix business with pleasure when fundraising and doing project work. Family and friends join us on such occasions and many friendships have been forged through our working together.

Present members of SI Stafford come from many different backgrounds and professions and they pool their knowledge and skills to contribute to debate and the work of the Club. They are also required to attend the meetings as regularly as possible to ensure that both they and Soroptimist International gain maximum benefit from their membership.

Soroptimism is the world’s best kept secret. As like minded women, why not learn more about us and enjoy being part of Soroptimist International?

SI Stafford looks forward to hearing from you.
