Peter and Diane Swan came to update us on this very important project.
Acklam Grange School, where Peter teaches, support young people in Tanzania, enabling them to follow and complete their secondary education.
The youngsters cannot afford the several hundred pounds for school fees. Girls are particularly disadvantaged.
Not only do they raise funds for buildings, books and equipment but also give them sweatshirts bearing the Acklam Grange logo, which the Tanzanian youngsters wear with pride.
We had a spontaneous collection totalling £75.50 plus, a couple of weeks later another £100, which I will report on in the African day write up.
