Club member Penny Freedman has written her first who-dun-it, This is a Dreadful Sentence, published by Troubador 2010. A student is found dead in a university college library: teacher Gina Gray investigates and uses her specialist knowledge of English Grammar to unravel the truth… Most of the Club turned out for the booklaunch and the picture above shows Penny with club member Shelagh Sandle who was present in her mayoral capacity (see previous news item). Widely available through the usual on-line outlets we are hoping the book will be a big success for Penny – and volume number two is well on the way.
