Presidents 2014-2015

S.I.SWANSEA

Three ladies

will share the Presidency in 2014-2015, each for 4 months.

Dr Jane Watkeys will preside from May – Aug 2014, followed by Mrs Susan James from Sept – Dec 2014 and Mrs Beverley Bowen from Jan – April 2015.

Beverley Bowen

is the President from Jan 2015 to April 2015 and welcomes new members to join Soroptimist International of Swansea. She is the third of 3 Presidents this year.

President Beverley is an active member of the forum that has recently achieved recognition for Swansea as a Dementia Supportive Community.  Beverley has also recently become a Dementia Friend

Beverley joined Natalie Salomon to receive  a UN Learning Link award in the presence of the First Minister in Cardiff through Natalie’s work with the charity Bigger Heart to aid education in Zanzibar.

The Presidents will be supporting 28 Too Many (FGM Let’s end it) this year (see http://28toomany.org/)

WHO ARE WE? SI Swansea is a vibrant, dynamic organisation for professional and business women and in January 2014 had 28 members. Soroptimists (Soror – sister, optima – best) are today’s women joining together to influence decision making and improve the lives of women and girls.
