I am delighted to be given the opportunity to serve as President of SI Wallasey for the next 2 years. My theme is ‘WOMEN WHO CARE, TAKE ACTION!’ My aim is that we have friendship and fun whilst keeping focused on the Goals and Objectives of SI as we embrace the Vision,  Mission and Values of the organisation. Building on previous achievements, we will develop new areas supporting and serving local women and girls. Although SI Wallasey is not a large club, members are very cohesive and active, achieving a great deal because we TAKE ACTION showing we CARE.

My key Programme Action objectives include maintaining support for girls in a school in Uganda through Uganda Learn4Life and for local women and children in the Wirral Women and Children’s Aid. We will continue our service at Tam O’Shanter Urban farm gift shop where sales help support this very beneficial educational experience for local children.  Mindful of the education focus of the next SI international project, we aim to develop a partnership with local Girl Guides to support their education and development opportunities.

Recruitment and retention of members and raising awareness of SI remain high on the Club agenda.  Making the Club interesting by focusing on ACTIONs and activities provide members with enjoyment and a sense of satisfaction and achievement aiding membership. Tapping into member’s strengths and interests as we work together will enhance experience and enable Club success.  The support and friendship of members within and outside the Club demonstrates that we CARE about all women.

I’m honoured to serve as President and will strive to do my best, confident that I have the support of my fellow members and guidance from those with the expertise.
