Soroptimist Networking/Party Day – Republic of Ireland

National President Soroptimist International Republic of Ireland
During my year of Presidency I set out to visit all Clubs in the Republic of Ireland.
My focus for this visit was to attend the Clubs usual meeting – making no special arrangements for the National President’s visit.
We have 19 Clubs, and with them spread out across the country this was a big undertaking. So far I have visited 17 of these clubs. These visits were extremely useful in getting feedback from the Members and hearing their concerns and suggestions for the future.
I have so much more to write about but this blog is about our “Soroptimist Networking/Party Day”. The challenge was for the National President to organise it. It happened!
On Saturday 3rd September, the buses and cars arrived to Mullingar bringing Members from all over the country. The journey on the bus was all part of the fun and Soroptimists getting to know each other better. There was an Xpose waiting for them with over 20 Pop Up Shops, a sit down lunch, a wonderful raffle and entertainment.
It was an amazing success.
Everyone had a wonderful day. Friends and potential Soroptimists were invited to this day. It gave a real good image of Soroptimists to prospective Members while also uniting our long standing Members. I said back last November I wanted to put a BUZZ in Soroptimists, well there certainly was a Buzz at this event. Friendships were renewed and new ones made. It’s success are in the words “we should do this every year!”.
