The BIG Story challenge was launched in March, at the start of the pandemic, to enable people to use their enforced leisure wisely whilst at the same time raising funds for SIGBI’s Empowering Girls in Nepal project. For more information see the BIG Story Website.
Hundreds of stories made their way into Chora-Chori’s inbox, all of which needed to be read and judged. Who knew that so many Soroptimists are also authors, able to inspire and move their readers with their impassioned words and tales of their adventures.
£20,765 was raised for the project by Soroptimists. Congratulations to everyone who took part. The winners of each category will receive Amazon vouchers to the value of £200 first prize, £100 second prize and £50 third prize with other runners up receiving £25 vouchers.
In the next few months, the winning stories will be recorded by celebrities so we all look forward to that.
