Both Soroptimist International and Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) have signed an Open Letter to the United Nations General Assembly’s Open-Ended Working Group on Ageing for the Purpose of Strengthening the Protection of the Human Rights of Older Persons (OEWGA).
Frances Zainoeddin, SI UN Representative in New York, is the vice chairman of the group which wrote the letter.
The International Day for Older Persons is on 1 October 2021, and Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland will publish a blog related to this by 28 September 2021. Please look out for this.
