Commission on the Status of Women – 14-25 March 2022

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) 66 – https://www.unwomen.org/en/csw/csw66-2022 – begins on 14 March. Again, this year it is a virtual event, but Soroptimist International (SI) and Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) will have the opportunity to influence UN Policy and contribute to the Agreed Conclusions.

  • Priority theme: Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes;
  • Review theme: Women’s economic empowerment in the changing world of work (agreed conclusions of the sixty-first session);

Soroptimists will be attending virtual events, and will be providing blogs on what they have learned from the sessions, so do keep checking back to read the blogs provided, which are shown below.
