A CHESTER Soroptimist member has donated her hair, which she had been growing since lockdown, to charity in order to be made into wigs for those suffering with hair loss.
Wendy Thompson had missed several hair appointments during the Covid pandemic and, after a chance meeting with a cancer specialist nurse, was encouraged to grow her hair even longer, so that it may be used to help those who may have lost theirs as a result of treatment.
Part of her long locks have now been donated to the Little Princess Trust, where they will help children suffering with the effects of alopecia, chemotherapy or other hair loss conditions.
