{"id":7541,"date":"2026-08-17T09:54:25","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T09:54:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/aberdeen\/?p=7541"},"modified":"2026-08-18T08:40:39","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T08:40:39","slug":"promoting-soroptimism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/aberdeen\/2026\/promoting-soroptimism\/","title":{"rendered":"Promoting Soroptimism"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On two Sundays in August members set up and manned stalls at the <strong>Rosemount Community\u00a0 Market Day<\/strong> at the <strong>Victoria Park<\/strong> in the city and at the <strong>Friends of the Duthie Park<\/strong> Open Day to raise awareness of, and promote Soroptimism as well as the work of our club. Friends of Duthie Park work closely with Aberdeen City Council and everything the group undertakes is for the betterment of the park, the city&#8217;s number one green space. It was the group&#8217;s fourteenth open day and the club&#8217;s first\u00a0 on the site. Both days were busy with a great deal of interest shown by a number of women looking to take up volunteering roles.
