\"\"<\/a>Carol Evans\u00a0<\/span>President\u2019s message 2023-2024<\/span><\/p>\n

Once again, I have accepted the honour and taken on the challenge of becoming Club President at Soroptimist International Amber Valley. Following in the footsteps of Immediate Past President Valerie Herbert who has gallantly held the post through the last two turbulent years where a new vocabulary included zoom meetings, face to face, social distancing and of course Covid. Although not completely out of the woods with regard to respiratory viruses we are planning for a more normal year ahead in 2023\/24 and have a varied and interesting programme of speakers, activities and some celebrations to look forward to.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve welcomed visitors and new members and said a fond farewell to other club stalwarts. We hope to continue building on the good work of previous years with fundraising where possible and exploring ways we can fulfil the organisations aims of making a difference to the lives of women and girls, locally, nationally and internationally.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
