Achievements of our 50th year

As we reach the end of our 50th year of the club we are pleased to be able to look back on some achievements.

We were able to promote awareness of SI Ballymoney during the year with a display in the Ballymoney Museum put together by the curator. We now have a “pop up” display poster featuring pictures of various celebrations since our formation which we can use at functions!

We also had special Christmas stamps produced for us by Royal Mail which were sold to club members. Hopefully some people handling the post wondered who we were!

Monies raised during the year were given to Headway, the specialist head injury support group, to fund a specifically adapted computer course for victims of head injury in our area.

Also supported during the year were the Ballymoney Food Bank, the R.N.L.I., The Palliative Care Unit at the Robinson Memorial Hospital Ballymoney and the M.C.A.I. fund which delivers care and training to mothers in The Gambia.

We also had a Christmas party and a summer outing though that does seem a long time ago!
